Project Summary: Urban Hub is a conveniently located student housing option in Preston that is close to both the city centre and UCLan. The Urban Hub student accommodations are located on Great Shaw Street, giving occupants quick access to the university and the other neighbourhood attractions. Construction Techniques were chosen by one of our trusted clients, Truman Design and Build, on this 2,500m2+ pristine project, were we provided a guarantee of waterproofing for the students starting their university life at UCLan. Construction Techniques decided that the perfect solution to this was to supply and install Soprema Single Ply systems on the four roofs of the highest level of the site. Leaving the remaining roofs to be waterproofed by a Soprema Duoflex system which later consisted of ballasts and flags being laid on top to create an effective walk-way.
